Flea Market Fancy Stash & A Little Giveaway!

Edited to note that this giveaway is closed.  The winner was Jamie from Baubles and bits!

The Little Blue Cottage is a relatively new blog, but I’ve been a Denyse Schmidt fan for about a year.  I absolutely love her quilts, design sensibility and her fabrics.  Lately, there has been a blogging frenzy over where her first line, Flea Market Fancy, can still be found.  I do have a nice stash of it, and as I was going through it all, I remembered my favorite one of all…

The one in the middle…’posies’ in pear.  SWOON!  And I recently found more on eBay, to the tune of 15 yards!  I scooped right in and bid in the waning seconds of the auction and won.  So, because I feel slightly guilty in having an embarassment of riches so to speak, I am having my first bloggy giveaway.  YAY!  The winner will receive one yard of the posies in pear, and another yard of the fabric to the right, pictured above.  Two yards!  Here’s the fine print:  leave a comment to enter.  To those who link to this giveaway on their own blogs, you will receive 3 entries.   Winner will be drawn on Wednesday, November 26th.  Good luck to everyone!!

Here’s a bit more from my stash:

  4. I do love the look of all things schmidt. I always feel too cheap to justify designer fabrics to myself, though. I think I may have to break with that or they will all be discontinued out of my reach someday.

  40. I’ve recently decided to take up sewing and use the machine my mother so graciously bought me for my birthday at my request. I know I could make good use of some adorable fabric.
    Pick me. Pick me.

I feel like the kid waving her hand in the air so the teacher will JUST HAVE to pick her.

  43. I don’t have a blog, but I’m feelin’ lucky. Love the fabric and think a baby quilt would be perfect for it. Thanks for the chance.

  44. This line is so wonderful…I think it will be a long time till something as versatile and inspiring comes along!

  45. My mom loves Flea Market Fancy, and has been one of those in scury to find some. Although I’m pretty sure the one she most desires is the top right in your last picture, I’m sure she’ll be happy with any. So, if I were to win, it would go straight to her.

  46. what beautiful fabrics. I sewed a lot when my kids were young and then slowed way down. I just made my first quilt this year and am starting a ‘stash’. I’d love to win these to get me started.
