Happy Friday to you all! Hey Girl, (or guy as it might happen) want to win some fabulous fabric?? I thought so. My fabric friend Julie from The Intrepid Thread is giving me two, yes two, charm packs of Summersville by Lu Summers for one of you to win. Look at how fresh and great this range of fabrics is…
All Lu Summers’ prints are her own line drawings. I love the cross hatch – what a great basic to have in your stash. The feel of these fabrics is modern and whimsical, don’t you think?
Ok, here’s the deal! Simply leave me a comment explaining what project you would make with two charm packs. Want another chance at winning? Follow my blog and then leave me another comment saying you signed up! If you already follow, just let me know. Winner will be selected on Sunday, April 29th. Leave email contact with your comment. Good luck!

Tic Tac Toe, three in a row! Introducing my first pattern! I’m excited to finally be able to show you a pattern that will be showing up at your local fabric and quilt shop soon.
This pattern is debuting today which coincides with the annual giveaway
day from the great folks at Sew, Mama, Sew! The pattern includes fabric requirements and instructions on how to make this floor game quilt. This is a perfect beginner’s pattern and a great gift to give little ones. In my giveaway, you’ll receive the pattern along with this lovely stack of “treasures and tidbts” fabrics courtesy of Robert Kaufman.
It’s quite a nice stack and certainly enough to make your own tic tac toe game for the kids in your life. To enter to win the pattern and fabrics, just leave a comment, telling me who you might make this game for. You have until the 25th to enter! Good luck to everyone, and thanks for stopping by
Edited to add that comments are now closed and that the winner is…..

LOVE this pattern! What a great giveaway! Can you email me a link where the pattern can be purchased in case I’m not so lucky to win? I didn’t see one. Keeping my fingers crossed on this one, my kiddos would love this and it would be safe for them to play around baby…unlike the beads they are working with right now! ugh!
I’ll be emailing you!!!
An auction between friends.
To help the victims of flooding in Australia.
I am donating 1 yard of green posies and 1/2 yard of the green/gray vines. Penny is donating a fat quarter of each: blue leaves, pink seeds, blue bouquet, and red leaves. These fabrics are very hard to find, and the money raised from this auction goes 100% to charity!
Just to be clear, upon payment, the winner will be receiving two packages. One from Penny for the fat quarters on the left, and one fromme for the two fabrics on the right. The bidding will end on Monday 24th at 7am.
Bidding is over at Penny’s blog http://www.sewtakeahike.typepad.com
How this auction works:
- Bidding will start at $50(USD). You can place a bid by leaving a comment on this blog post with your bid amount and email address. Please make sure that your bid is higher than the previous bidder.
- Your bid must be in whole dollar increments.
- This auction is open to everyone, we will happily ship internationally.
- The auction begins NOW and will END on Monday, January 24th at 7am, 2011 (Mountain time).
- At the close of the auction, I will contact the winner (please make sure your bid comment includes your email address). ALL bidders must have an active PayPal account. The winner will pay the winning amount directly into the Premier’s Flood Relief Appeal and send me proof of payment via email.
READY, SET, GO! And good luck!
Penny and Tina
